  • Taste: Full-bodied, velvety smooth, profound "Cong Wei" (old bush flavor) with a captivating rock rhyme.

  • Finish: Spectacularly long-lasting sweet aftertaste (Hui Gan) with a lingering elegant depth.

  • Leaf Base: Thick, vintage-grade resilient leaves, exceptionally durable for 10+ infusions.

Why This Dahongpao Feels Different

  • Old Bush Character (Laocong Wei): Harvested exclusively from protected ancient tea trees in Wusandi, delivering a rare mossy, woody soul and depth that common Dahongpao simply cannot match.

  • High-Mountain Rock Rhyme: Grown in a misty, high-altitude microclimate, resulting in a remarkably cleaner, sweeter, and more elegant mineral profile than standard valley rock teas.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

For the ultimate sensory experience, we highly recommend brewing this rare Old Bush Dahongpao in a traditional Gaiwan or Yixing clay pot using the Gongfu method. This precise technique beautifully unlocks the tea's ancient woody character, profound mineral body, and its signature mossy layers.

  • Teaware: 100-120ml porcelain Gaiwan or Yixing clay teapot (Porcelain or clay is highly recommended to retain optimal heat).

  • Tea Amount: 6-8g of loose leaf tea.

  • Water Temperature: 95-100°C / 203-212°F (Always use fresh, fully boiling water to awaken the deep Laocong character).

  • Rinse: Pour boiling water over the leaves and discard immediately within 3 seconds. This flash rinse awakens the deep, roasted mineral aroma and vintage old-growth woody notes.

    Suggested Infusion Times

    • 1st - 3rd Infusion: Steep for 5-10 seconds. Enjoy the vibrant, velvety roasted minerals mixed with an elegant mossy undertone.

    • 4th - 6th Infusion: Steep for 15-20 seconds. This is where the deep, rich "Old Bush" woody soul peaks, filling your palate with profound depth.

    • 7th - 10+ Infusions: Gradually increase the steeping time by 5-10 seconds per round. This exceptional high-mountain rock tea is incredibly durable and continues to reveal a clean, lingering mineral sweetness.

A Masterpiece of Quiet Luxury

This Wusandi Old Bush Dahongpao is ideal for slow mornings, deeply focused sessions, elegant dinners, or moments when you demand something far more refined than an ordinary cup of tea. Its profound, roasted old-growth depth and complex mossy soul make it especially appealing to connoisseurs of fine Scotch whisky, dark chocolate, specialty coffee, and full-bodied aged wines.
